The company soon expanded into sportswear and became a very prominent bridge label for career women. The Company label was founded in 1991. Ellen Tracy was purchased by Liz Claiborne in 2002. In 2000, Gallen, by then a widower and Allard married.

Souvenir tie tack from the Tall Ships US Bicentennial celebration in 1976. Round tie tack is pewter with raised detail of sailing ships and OP Sail '76. Tie Tac is bordered with a rope design and figure 8 knot at the bottom. OP is a designation for Operation Sail, a group that organizes group sails for commemorative events.

Emanuel Cohn and Carl Rosenberger started Coro in1901 as a small accessories store on Broadway in New York City. The company officially changed its name to Coro Inc., a combination of the two names, in 1943. Coro was once one of the largest costume jewelry companies in the world and employed many distinctive designers including Adolph Katz, design director; Gene Verecchio; Oscar Placco; Robert Geissmann and Massa Raimond. Three clear round rhinestones are set on a raised grid pattern in the middle of each side, six stones total. Surrounding the grid is a curved dimensional detail the looks a little like an abstract arrow. This is a clamper bracelet that looks like a bangle bracelet when worn.

Condition: One small section of string is missing between two links. You can see the gap in the lower left corner in the first photo. Since each link is fastened separately no other links are affected.

1960s modernist tile choker necklace by Kramer. Rectangular links of cream thermoset plastic with gold crackle finish. Links are double strung with plastic inset in the links. Small gap between each link emphasizes the design. Gold back. Hook clasp with gold chain extender.
Kramer was founded by Louis Kramer 1943. Since all activities of the company were centered in New York City many of the pieces are marked “Kramer NYC or Kramer of New York. The company was know for it intricate design work and use of rhinestones particularly in floral or geometric patterns. Kramer was also a maker for Dior in the 1950s-60s. The company closed in the 1970s.
