Reinad started out as the Chanel Novelty Co. in 1922 as a jobber for other jewelry companies. They put out their own line with the Chanel name in 1941 but changed the company name to Reinad after a lawsuit by Coco Chanel Reinad continued to make jewelry for other companies such as such as Boucher, Carnegie and Eisenberg. Jewelry marked with the Reinad name is extremely rare. The company closed sometime in the mid 50s.
